Matt has led technical transformation at national and international organizations to improve digital services through innovation, agile practices, and human-centered design. In prior roles, he launched the Federal Government’s Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence and modernized digital services and customer experience programs across agencies to include the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. He additionally served as the Chief Information Officer for the National Eye Institute and the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Healthcare System.
Matt is currently working on improving digital experiences for The National Park Service’s employees and visitors, improving digital accessibility to beautiful lands off the beaten path, and modernizing the Service’s data analytics program. Prior to joining the Civil Service, Matt was a Medical Service Corps Officer in the U.S. Army, where he led research programs to advance healthcare technology and services for soldiers and their families.
