2026 Call for Proposals

The TMF is now accepting proposals from federal agencies in two priority areas aligned with the President’s priorities, permitting technology and AI adoption.

Agencies are encouraged to review both areas and determine where their projects best align.

Speeding and Scaling 21st Century Permitting

This call is open to agencies implementing Permitting Technology Action Plans, in support of the Council on Environmental Quality, to deliver on the President’s April 2025 memorandum on Updating Permitting Technology for the 21st Century. TMF funding can expand implementation scope, improve the ability to share data and coordinate with other agencies, or accelerate high-impact work already underway.

Advancing American AI in Agencies

In collaboration with USAi, this call is open to agencies facing capability and infrastructure gaps that are preventing responsible AI adoption. TMF funding can help agencies build the foundation needed to adopt AI tools securely and broadly across the agency.

How Agencies can Apply

Complete an Initial Project Proposal by July 24, 2026. Submission instructions are in the proposal template. Earlier submissions are strongly encouraged to support expedited review.
